Audio Galaxy

I use Audio Galaxy to share my music and download new stuff. It really Rocks. You can download it here. Give it a try... you wont use anything else no more, when talking 'bout MP3.

Limewire/Audiogalaxy

I use audiogalaxy for music (www.audiogalaxy.com) and limewire for vids (www.limewire.com)

However limewire and the gnutella network I have found to be slower than kazaa etc.

Ftp server and account only for friends :)

Limey. Once I got it configured LimeWire seemed to be pretty fast for me. Doesn't really touch my system resources, but I don't have a super slow system either. Gonna check out Audiogalaxy. What the hell is EDONKEY? HA HA HA HA

Direct Connect!!!!

Although I've yet to find a decent gui frontend....

MasterC 05-26-2002 08:39 AM

Direct Connect? You mean hook up to my PC via your PC in the UK and transfer files??? How would someone do that? In Linux?

twk 05-26-2002 03:57 PM

Audio Galaxy for mp3
LimeWire for rest.

Half_Elf 05-26-2002 05:23 PM

How can you make audio galaxy run? My just delete my account.txt (?) every time I try to connect (and of course tell me I don't have the file...)

Is there are another sharing-music tool?

acid_kewpie 05-26-2002 05:33 PM

limewire is just one of the (poorest) gnutella clients around, all usnig the same network of course. http://gtk-gnutella.sf.net

twk 05-27-2002 10:00 PM

You need to put your user name in the first line of account.txt not email(as stated in the install instruction)

then it should work

Half_Elf 05-27-2002 11:28 PM

Hum well... Pretty BAD install file... I will try it

Try http://www.edonkey2000.com/downloads.html
and don't forget to update the server.met file.

I use it with Linux and Windows and it works really fine for Vids and Progs
