Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I am about to start a project that hopefully many of you have already completed. I want to build a server for about 10 people to access a broadband connection and an internal and external email solution. This server will then be enhanced to provide a central backup point for various files that will be created. The end result will be implemented in a commercial environment and I will have to support it.
My main question is what server software do i need? As a starter for ten. then build my server and get PC's logging into it.
Is there a book a site dedicated to this type of project?
The main reason for trying to implement this is cost. 10 people all running bill gates merchandise means serious cash for a small company.
I am very comfortable with a PC but I am a complete newbie with Linux. I understand that i am attempting an ambitious project but time is not the issue here. Learning and getting it right is.
One other thing, although I understand Linux is command line I did not mourn the passing of the DOS prompt GUI if possible, please?
