Is here a software for speech to text to run in Mint 17 on Lenovo laptop? Than you for loking

Give Simon a try-
You'll need a headset or a microphone.

Simon recognized my voice on my Slackware machine but I wasn't able to get it fully working.
You might have more success with Simon on Linux Mint.

CMU Sphinx is another speech recognition software for Linux. I've never tried it.

You might like to consider Vinux, a Ubuntu-based distribution for the partially-sighted and blind

For Mint, there's the Orca screen reader and the Julius speech recognition system. There may be an "assistive technology" package: there is in Ubuntu. It may even be installed already.

John Kulp, who podcasts at Hacker Pubic Radio, favors Blather for voice commands, but I get the impression it's not really an accessibility program, but more one for convenience. It might be worth a look, though.

Is there someone that could install Simon or one of the other Voice Recognition programs for you?

If my memory serves me correctly Simon is very easy to install on Linux Mint and Ubuntu.-
It's in the Software Center.
