bash: /usr/local/bin/CMIX: cannot execute binary file

Hi All,

I'm not much of a Linux user. I used it 7 years ago to run a program called RTcmix (rtcmix.org), which is a music program. Anyhow, I've just installed a few different versions of Linux through VMware and tried to install RTcmix. The install should be simple. After installing, though, I tried to run a simple command (CMIX - it should play the sample music score it refers to) and received this: bash: /usr/local/bin/CMIX: cannot execute binary file.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Config.log looks like this (the beginning does, at least. I had to truncate it due to max characters of submission form):

uname -r = 2.6.18-8.1.3.el5xen

bash: /usr/local/bin/CMIX: cannot execute binary file.
Typically you get this error when you attempt to directly execute an object file that has not been linked, or is just plain corrupted.

In any case, I would suggest you try to reinstall this app, and make sure to follow the INSTALL directions to the letter.
