bandwidth/ip monitor/shaper

hello, do you guys know any program which can monitor bandwidth used per ip address?
(and shape it of course. those with gui are preferable)
i have a simple firewall (suse 10 with masquerading), and i want to know how the
communication is between the clients (>20) and that server,
thank you

Hi,

If you just want to track the data per connection you could use iptables to tag each ip, and grab the datausage from that... If you want to shape, there are some nice options in the iproute2 package...

Finally, if you want a bigger scale solution look here http://www.bandwidtharbitrator.com/

Cheers,
A
