Bad Packet Length 1349676916

Recently installed FC7 from the FC7 Live CD on a PC.

Started the SSH server on FC7 machine and when i tried to connect to the ssh server i get the message "Local: Bad packet length 1349676916"

I tried to collect more information by running the command in verbose mode and this is what i saw ...

SSH Version 1.2.27 [sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1], protocol version 1.5.
Standard version. Does not use RSAREF.
This program was last modified from the standard SSH distribution by

and there is no warranty. This version is free for non-revenue generating
satldd: ssh_connect: getuid 6777 geteuid 0 anon 0
satldd: Allocated local port 1021.
satldd: Connecting to 135.39.48.163 port 22.
satldd: Connection established.
satldd: Remote protocol version 2.0, remote software version OpenSSH_4.5
satldd: Waiting for server public key.
Local: Bad packet length 1349676916.

1349676916 corresponds to 0x50726f74 which is "Prot" in ASCII

What might be the problem?

Client using different protocol version than what is running on server

Found some answers at the following link.

Link: http://www.blu.org/pipermail/discuss...er/036218.html

Changed the ssh server configuration file in /etc/ssh/sshd_config to use both protocol 2 and 1 and restarted the ssh server using "/etc/init.d/sshd restart" and it started working.

Protocol 2,1
#Protocol 2
