bad dhcp name question

Hey all, I am running redhat 7.3 and trying to geta local printer up and running. It will not be networked to on my lan. when I do the printerconfigure or when I manually setup the printer through printcap I get the same error.

" Got_local_host " hostname 'dhcppc' bad "
I have no idea what this means, or how to rectify it. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance
Travis
