Setting up an server for my company, is there a brogram to do backup on linux?
Want a program that can pick files to backup in choosed folders, and pick out the ones that are created or changed within a set timeline?
Many a backup prgram for linux. dd if you want a simple one that can be paired with grep and
other comand line stuff to make it do advanced things. Others too checkout freshmeat.
All Linux distros come with TAR installed by default. Originally this was used for tape backups (the name is a contraction and shortening of Tape ARchive). "man tar" for usage details. Also check out Amanda.
