Backing up a forum

Hi. I have a phpbb forum which needs to be backed up reguarly, maybe once every 3 days. I have a P3 pc spare and would like to install a linux os on it and have it dedicated for making automatic backups. (the machine is always connected to the internet)

How would I make the automatic backup system? (eg. what software to use and how to use it)

Thanks in advance

I think you should take a look at man rsync as this seems to be what a lot of people base their backups on. If it does what you like, you could set it up so it runs from a script called as often as you like by cron.
