background image on an xterm/terminal window

I remember seeing something like this when I was using Mandrake 7.1 a couple of years ago...
When I would open an xterminal and a different background image would come every time I opened xterm.

I just thought it might be cool to implement that kind of thing on my current setup. I just don't have a clue how to do it.

I'm running Slackware 10.1 with dropline-gnome 2.10.

Anyone want to clue me in? I know someone knows what I'm talking about

Check out aterm:

http://www.afterstep.org/aterm.php

it's a very fast terminal, yet provides all the necessary eye candy as transparency and background image

Regards!
