Baboon??

If a teacher said, "Baboon is used by GNOME to enable multiple operating systems to INTERoperate", what would that mean to me, a complete newbie? (This is for a question on my final, so please submit serious answers!) Thank you!

Please re-read the LQ Rules which you agreed to abide by when you signed up, with particular attention to the one stating "Do not expect LQ members to do your homework - you will learn much more by doing it yourself." Surely if you have the time and energy to post a question here at LQ you have sufficient time and energy to do a little research on your own. -- J.W.

My humble apologies. I wasn't seeking someone to answer the question FOR me, I was simply hoping for some direction. We asked our instructor - he told us we didn't need to know it for the test. I'm rarely satisfied with that sort of answer, so I thought I'd do some research on my own. The searches I tried yielded nothing that made sense to me. Thus, I posted the question. I didn't mean to violate any rules, I was simply looking for help. Thanks for reminding me that I am just a newbie. I'll seek assistance from another web site.
