azureus painfully slow


as it says azureus is running ridiculously slow.i followed the instructions here http://www.stanton-finley.net/fedora...s.html#Azureusyet for some reason i still get a nat problem.

the same problem

I had the same problem here. Ktorrent is downloading torrents for my now. Ive never managed to find out what was the problem.
Just change the client and youll be allright

Please define slow. Is it uploading or downloading slow or is its response is slow. If it is uploading or downloading slow then you are either uploading or downloading. If you are downloading, it is better to limit the upload bandwidth to get faster downloads. If you are done downloading the torrent, limit the download bandwidth and set a higher upload bandwidth.

If Azureus respose is slow to your commands, it is Java based program and it will always response slow unless you change the settings or use motif.

About NAT, you either need to put Linux before the NAT device or setup DMZ when using Azureus or any BitTorrent program. Any program that you pick will have the same problem if it is a network problem.

agreed my post was too vague.
I am having problems downloading stuff.But i will try what you said here

I believe it is the NAT problem that is giving me the headache mostly but how would go about doing this

i like the interface with this better but the same problem is there i keep seeing peers snubbed or choked.
