Automount USB disk at startup

I have an external USB disk that works fine, but I have to manually mount it on every startup.

I tried to use auto in fstab but when the system issues the mount command the device still has not been detected by the udev stuff.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks
Alf

Maybe automount? I remember using it with an mp3 player a year ago or so,
as far as I remember it did work :)
From http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-mini/Automount.html
Quote:

Automounting is the process where mounting and unmounting of certain filesystems is done automatically by a daemon. If the filesystem is unmounted, and a user attempts to access it, it will be automatically (re)mounted.

Have a go! :)
