Automount dmraid volume in fstab

Have finally managed to get my nvidia software raid volume seen by linux with dmraid. I can mount it myself with the command mount /dev/mapper/nvidia_dagieabf1 (or something like that) /media/raid -t ntfs -o umask=000 and that works fine. But using a line in the fstab doesn't work, a mount -a tells me about a bad superblock or something. The line in fstab I think is /dev/mapper/nvidia_dagieabf1 /media/raid ntfs ro,user,umask=000 0 0
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 btw. About to upgrade to 7.04.
Cheers

If you are using ntfs-3g check whether you have fuse kernel module loaded (Eg: lsmod | grep fuse) before trying to mount a NTFS type file system. If not load it by running "modprobe fuse" as root.

Lol well once I get my system running again I'll try that:... http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=471465
Uupgrading to Feisty seems to have killed it, combined with dmraid.

I've managed to get booting again by removing dmraid with apt-get. However I get a bunch of messages complaining about invalid block or unable to access sdb1 at block lots of numbers. But that's referring to part of my windows array which linux shouldn't even be using, and I havent' gotten those messages before now... what does it mean?
