Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Acid I know it's my fault. And I am stupid for not knowing, but how the hell do I fix the problem I showed you above where "title_info" cannot be found? I would really like to give this a try. I already use Mencoder for my DVD "backup", but would like to see how this goes. Any ideas, or at least a part of the documentation to point me towards? Thanks for any ideas, and your time.
erm, open up the script, and change the $DVD_DEVICE variable if that is wrong, and if title_info isn't on your path put the full path name in instead. i can't think of anything else that could cause it to not work.try just using title_info by itself
if that does work, i'm up a certain creek without a certain implement
Last night i also discovered that title_info and ifo_dump are actaully utter jokes (ifo_dump only has about 8 lines that DO anything...) So i'll be writing a proper replacement for them in the near future. once i learn how to of course!
