Audio on DVD's is clipping (QDVDAUTHOR)
Ok, I have a strange one that I am about to start loosing hair over and just can't figure out.
I am using QDVDAUTHOR to make some DVD's of family vacations. The input video is MOV format from my digital camera. Everything works fine with QDVDAUTHOR, the DVD dir is created, I can burn the DVD with K3B, and I can watch the DVD on my PC and is sounds and looks great. Then when I take it up to my DVD player to watch it on the TV, whenever the audio gets a little loud, the audio is clipping like crazy. I have the DVD volume set to 3/30 so I can comfortably hear it, and the audio is clipping. Take it back down to my PC, and it sounds great again.
I can take a store bought DVD, crank it up and never have clipping, so no, my home theater is not shot. It's just something about these DVD's that I have made that do this. Also, I can take regular DVD's, make a copy with K9Copy and they sound perfectly normal on the PC and DVD player. So I'm not sure if this is some kind of software setting (audio bitrate???) or what?
Has anyone ever experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?
Thank you in advance for ANY help you can offer in this.
Thanks,
Eric
