audacity


ok, i just ran the rpm for audacity. it seemed to have went through fine. NOw i can't figure out how to run the damn thing. Can't find any documentation on the site about it either. Anyone know what to do??

First, see if it's on your menu now.

If not, try typing "audacity" at the command prompt in a terminal window.

I am not familiar with the proggie so I can't tell you anymore than that...sorry.

it doesn't seem to be in the programs. And i tried a few variations of typing audacity, audacity& etc etc. doesn't seem to wanna work. Any one know what's up???

do a 'whereis audacity' with no quotes. my guess is that it's not installed or you're missing the wxGTK package, since the command audacity should work. i installed via rpms also.

ok, i ran that and it just says

and that's it, so iam assuming that it is no installed then. Thats dumb cause the rpm seemed flawless.

once again mega ur right. Just needed that package. haha, just need to get a movie player then i no longer need windows anymore!
