Question ATI Radeon Drivers For Xorg on Fedora Core 3

Hey guys,
I once again, have a graphic card issue.
I just upgraded to a Radeon 9600 SE, 128 mb, and installed Fedora Core 3.
I went to ATI's website, and found that their drivers were made to work with Xfree, while Fedora uses Xorg. There are some ways to patch it, but I just can't really figure it out.
Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
-Sloik

I haven't had any problems using ATI drivers using Xorg-6.7. however Xorg-6.8 no luck on Fedora or Gentoo. maybe a downgrade to 6.7 will do it for ya

Well, I did try to do some things to convert xorg to Xfree before, but they all kinda failed =/. Now, when I open Xorg.conf it says at the top:
Code:
# XFree86 4 configuration created by pyxf86config
So I assume that it was successfully converted... So, the file is still listed as xorg.conf, so should I just create a link to it called X86Config-4?
And then after that, reinstall the drivers?

Thanks,
-Sloik
