aterm not transparent with FC2

I have fedora core 2. I just installed the fluxbox window manager version 0.9.9, which kicks ass, btw. I also installed aterm, because it's supposed to be fast, but mostly for the transparency. However, I can't get my darn aterm to be transparent. I have a wallpaper on the background, so I would notice if it's transparent. This is what my ~/.Xdefaults looks like:

aterm*cursorColor:dark green
aterm*colorMode:true
aterm*pointerColor:yellow
aterm*pointerColor2:yellow
aterm*borderWidth:0
!aterm*tinting:#ffffff
aterm*loginShell:true
aterm*transparent:true
aterm*shading: 30
aterm*background: black
aterm*foreground:#13d41c
aterm*scrollBar:true
aterm*fade: 60
!aterm*font: 9x15
aterm*font: 8x13
aterm*saveLines:4500
aterm*geometry:85x30
!aterm*truetintingType:True
aterm*tintingType: true
