asus eee 4g surf xandros linux

Good morning, I have recently purchased an asus eee 4g surf with a re install of the original xandros linux.

The problem that I am having is that all of the software with this orginal install disk is out of date, but the system wont let me open or run any downloads.

I have tried to update firefox, and also tried google chrome, and also tried to update the bois on asus downloads

can anyone help please
