Asterisk protected password decrypter

Hi everyone,

For the last couple of days, I've been searching for a program, that would give me a password hidden behind asterisks, but I've only managed to find this kind of program for windows

If any of you have or know where to get it, I would apreciate it.

Which application is this passwd for, or is it to login to Linux?

Well, I'm looking for one that can read http passwords. For example, when I enter my router, I get access to my login information to the ISP account, but I can't read the password because it is hidden behind asterisks.
