Asterisk box to connect VoIP lines with normal telephone lines.

Hi,

I have both an ISDN WAN link and telephone line.

Is it possible to use Asterisk box to connect VoIP lines with normal telephone lines.

Purpose : I have few friends who cannot make VoIP calls from their residence , where as my other friends who stay in other parts of the country are ready make VoIP calls.

I am planning to host an Asterisk box ( locally ) so that for PSTN users, they will be charged based on local calls and they can communicate with other VoIP users.

Is it possible to do this ? Any other suggestion or Alternatives are welcome.

Thanx in Advance.

Raju.

There are plenty of cards available. Off of the top of my head, I can't think of any brands names. But be careful with the cheap cards, they're essentially modem boards and I have heard reports of poor quality.
