asm/posix_types.h: No such file or directory

I'm trying to compile a kernel module for a debugger and I have loads of errors but the first one from which they all seem to stem is this:

/lib/modules/2.6.29.6-desktop-1mnb/source/include/linux/posix_types.h:47:29: error:
asm/posix_types.h: No such file or directory

AFAIK I have the Linux headers installed but uname -a gives this:

Linux Duo 2.6.29.6-desktop-1mnb #1 SMP Sun Jul 5 19:57:54 EDT 2009 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz GNU/Linux

Whereas in the software installer, if I search for headers, the kernel-headers information gives this:

Version: 2.6.29-1mnb2
Currently installed version: 2.6.29-1mnb2

This file:

/lib/modules/2.6.29.6-desktop-1mnb/source/include/linux/posix_types.h

does exist, but there is no asm subdirectory within the /lib/modules/2.6.29.6-desktop-1mnb/source/include/linux/ directory.

Anyone have any clue at all as to what's going wrong? I can post lots more errors if needs be, but everything seems to stem from this.

Many thanks.
