ARMEB vs ARMEL elaborated
I have been doing some research into this topic in preparation for my arm port - or more accurately installing debian on my little arm based PDA phone.
So to facilitate anyone looking for explanation, (if anyone found it disputable, please do correct me) ARMEB = ARM EABI Big-endian ARMEL = ARM EABI Little-endian EABI = Embedded Application Binary Interface, most commonly for PowerPC and ARM architecture If you wanna more details, look it up in www.wikipedia.org Remember, GNU/Linux is about community well-being, share with us if you have any experience or lesson learned.
