Hi, i'd like to ask if there are any wallpaper applications for linux? It should have features like a change of wallpaper at fixed times, wallpaper organiser - organises the wallpaper into different categories and stuff..... a good example would be webshots... the url is below.
if your running Kde just right click on the desk top and configure desktop. you can add as many backrounds as you want and have them change whenever you want. It's pretty simple. I don't use Gnome so I can't help you there.
yup, i am currently running on kde..... but the problem with that function is that it doesn't resize the pictures right? I tried pasting a picture of a rocket on my desktop as a wallpaper and it turned out shorter than what's in the pricture..... or is there a function where it will put the picture on the desktop proportionately to what's in the file?
Just as a heads up, there is also a tool that can help move Webshots files over to Linux. Haven't tried it yet but I will be doing this in the near future.
I had used the tool for converting Webshots files to .jpeg before and it worked beautifully. However, now I can't find the notes I made on how to do it. The link provided by wgrace (http://www.jamesbarford.co.uk/webman-setup.shtml) does not work anymore. Does anybody know how to do this or can point me to another link?
