Are RHEL3 apps compatible with Fedora 3?

The school here has an agree ment with RH that allows student to d/l the RHEL 3 cd's for free. I am running Fedora Core 3 on the laptop that has been modified to make it work with the hardware, so installing RHEL isn't an option...

Are the applications inlcuded on the RHEL disks compatibe with the Fedora of the same number? ie, RHEL3 -> FC3?

Thanks,

Scott McNeely

no, RHEL3 is based from FC2. It's still nto a wise choice to mix the RPMs but you should have okay luck using RPMs for core 2 on RHEL 3.

Good Luck
