Are multithreaded games in Wine really executed on multiple cores?

I tried GTAIV on wine and found that CPU is used only for 50% while the game is very slow. Does wine allow programs to execute on multiple cores? How can i check if this is enabled on my configuration?

I found why GTAIV works only on one core. I just had to change CPU affinity.
