APT on non debian systems

Hello all,
I recently ended my several month long forray through all things Linux distrobutions and have ended up with Vector. It's pretty sweet and everything is current.... for now. I would like to install APT to ensure I can stay current for the foreseeable future. I remember reading about installing APT on a non debian system before, but my past 20 minutes of searching have yielding nothing. Any information would be much appreated.

Much Thanks
Shane

I think it's available at www.freshrpms.net. Yep, they even have a section for it.

Vector's Slackware based, right? You could try slapt-get. I don't know if it's as effective as Debian's version, though.
