Question APT on FEDORA 1 giving SEGMENTATION FAULT

APT on FEDORA 1 giving SEGMENTATION FAULT ( post #1)

I am new to LINUX and am having a great time so far and learning much. However, I have not been able to find documentation addressing this issue, and I am hoping someone might be able to help.

I have recently installed FEDORA CORE1, and have downloaded and installed the
Fedora apt4rpm package.

The install and configuration went very well, and I used APT to update and upgrade my FEDORA install. =)

The very next day, I again go to do an apt-get update and it seems to start off on it's downloading and then I get this error message:

Get:1 fedora/1/i386 release [2494B]
Fetched 2494B in 5s (463B/s)
Hit mirror fedora/1/i386/os pkglist
Hit mirror fedora/1/i386/os release
Hit mirrorf edora/1/i386/updates pkglist
Hit mirror fedora/1/i386/updates release
Hitmirror fedora/1/i386/os srclist
Hit mirror fedora/1/i386/updates srclist
Segmentation fault

I have no idea what I could have done to cause a segmentation fault. Since I last used APT I have installed and configured APACHE, MySQL, and PHP.

Would this have anything to do with the sudden ERROR?

Any assistance anyone could provide would be very much appreciated.

what's with the triple post? (never mind dual posts)

don't you read the rules or didn't your mother raise you right or something?

Thank you for being such an asshole tcaptain.

You are truely an ambassador for French speaking Canada.

Luckily for me, my question has already been answered by a more knowledgeable user in another forum, which by the way, I also made the mistake of triple posting to. They recieved the apology you are not going to get.

This will definately be the last post I submit to this forum.

kindest and most final regards,

pj

Hello Pot, this is kettle...you're black!

You should definitely look at your own behavior before blaming mine.

First off, you blatantly spam the forums, ignoring the rules...I point that out to you.

Then you allude to my french speaking nature...AND your choice of vocabulary leaves a lot to be desired.

Where I'm standing, I'm thinking you're looking in the mirror and thinking its me.
