apt-get remove package-name & config files

In Synaptic (Ubuntu's software manager), there's the option "Mark for Complete Removal"; I suppose, this would include the config files, too, as well as any other influences (like scripts) the application had issued to the system.

Stating,
Quote:
apt-get --help
- opposed to Synaptic's option mentioned above - there doesn't seem to be an option to remove scripts and config files, too.

- How can a program be completely removed using "apt-get", including the configuration settings it provides the Linux system with?

Thanks

Thank you, I've tested it, and it works.
I should have read the man page, not only "apt-get --help", shouldn't I.
