"apt-get install xmltv" doesn't work

Does anyone know where i can get xmltv and all the depencies for it to download???
I looked on several tutorials and they said use apt-get to install xmltv. So i installed apt-get and I ran "apt-get update" and then i tried installing xmltv from it but none of the sources that are in the conf file have xmltv on their servers. Could someone please list a server that i can add to the conf file or could someone point be to a website for it.

Thanks.

I had a similar problem recently. I fixed it by adding all the mirrors listed at http://apt.freshrpms.net to my /etc/apt/sources.list file. There is a link there to a list of repositories. There does seem to be a problem with a few of the default servers right now. Not sure what it is though.

I am running Redhat 8.0 is ok to add sources that are for Redhat 9,7.3,7.2, etc?

I don't think so, but there are a lot of sources for 8 the last time I checked. I think using the other ones would download the wrong packages.

Yeah you shouldn't do that. Some of the deps would be all wrong. In some cases if you knew what you were doing you could get away with it...but it takes longer to look up all the deps and docs than it would to just roll it yourself.
