apt-get install gdb and then command not found

I'm using Debian linux installed using 'Virtual PC'. When I try to install 'gdb', it looks like everything is installed but I still get "gdb: command not found".

Any ideas?

Problem solved. I was following the example from a book and forgot to remove the '-s' switch...
