apt-get in source file?

My rpm is broken on Red Hat 9, and I need to install apt-get. Where can I get apt-get in source file for compilation ?

Thanks

Do you want apt4rpm in source? If so, that won't do you much good if you do get it installed because it still won't be able to install rpms. Whats wrong with rpm?

Please explain further. I am not familiar with this particular problem. And the other poster is right if rpm is broken apt won't work either. The RH port simply uses rpm to actually do the install. The only thing really left over from the debian tool is the dep resolution and the ability to dl via the web.

Try to reinstall rpm from source or boot into rescue and see if anaconda can fix it. Not sure how one breaks a database though? Puzzeling and I would like to hear more.
