apt-get and upgrading kde
Hello,
I read on one of the forums here that apt-get was a good program to upgrade software, especially kde. Well, I tried to upgrade to the newest kde using `apt-get upgrade kde` from the command line (I logged on in failsafe mode) and there were no error messages and it seemed to download all the rpms and install them, but when I look at the control center it still says 3.0.8 or whatever it is with red-hat 8. Is there another way to check to see what version I am using? Did I use apt-get wrong? Thanks |
I used
apt-get install kde from the fail safe prompt.. |
