apt-get and linspire
 

How can I be sure apt-get is working. I have not been able ot download and install any programs? I also have not been able to get my cnr client to work. I am using linspire oem. I have at@t 2wire and have verified that the fire wall is down on the modem. I would like to be able to use agt-get to install firestarter, and I am not havving any luck. I alos have verified that there is no firewall running on my system. I would appreciate the help.
