apt-get

I an running RH 8 and have installed apt-get, and synaptic. With apt-get I can download all of the listed rpm files from the 8 different ftp sites that it checks, but what I want to do is add rpm's to the list. I have downloaded several rpms to a certain dir and what I want apt-get to do is add that directory to the sites that it checks.

Any thoughts?

Well, are you talking about Apt-for RPM or apt-get itself?

Apt-get deals with .debs strictly, I think.

So do a search on this site for Apt for RPM
