Apps Using OpenGL cause X to (restart)?

Hi All
I am developing an app that uses OpenGL on Linux. It is still a very simple one. However it seems to cause the X server to restart after working for a minute or so. I checked other gl apps (xglgears) and it also causes the X server to restart.
My display card is nvidia GeForce4 and I use the drive that comes with FreeX that comes with my distro Mandriva 2006.
Any help?

There seem to be some issues with OpenGL and X right now - I've seen quite a few bug reports of X locking up when running 3D stuff. Suffered it myself quite a few times too. . .
