apparent glib (libgio-2.0) errors during make

I have exhausted all of my resources, and am in need of help.
Google only gives me references to ubuntuforums for GNOME-shell issues. Basically, when trying to compile a program that requires GTK+ and GLib, I get an error equal to this:
Code:
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_source_get_time'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_source_set_dummy_callback'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_main_context_invoke'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_source_add_child_source'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_list_free_full'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_get_environ'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_signal_accumulator_first_wins'
/usr/local/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined reference to `g_get_monotonic_time'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Think anyone can help? I'm running Slackware 13.1

Usually such things points wrong (old) version of library installed. If I remember right, this functions are newer than the one in Slackware 13.1. For better info, check their library documentation.

...Okay lol. Apparently, I didn't have /usr/lib in /etc/ld.so.conf, and adding it fixed the issue. Anyway, thanks lol

ozanbaba, I tried using glib-2.26 installed from both source and using slackpkg, which didn't change any of the issues. lol. Granted, I had both versions of glib that slackware provides installed, yet uninstalling the old glib-1.18 didnt fix it either. But, like I said (before I saw that you had posted), adding /usr/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf fixed the issue.
Thanks for the quick reply, though
