App to keep track of /usr/share/doc stuff?

Hi, I'm looking for an app to keep track and give access to the docs
that get installed with the many apps on my 64Studio (Debian based) distro.
Stuff usually in /usr/share/doc ... etc.

I used to have something many years ago on Mepis, but like my memory,
it's long gone.

Any recommendations?

doc-central; then you can consult your docs from your browser by going to http://localhost/dc

Hi... I Have

and it is...

Do Not Worry About it...

People as coders and programmers and hackers since 80's never thought about users, this is fact.. I bet you are bored to open a folder in /usr/share/docs/package and see that there is only packages reference and nothing more usefull...

What can you do??

1- Search in for *.doc packages wich contains docs from packagers
2- man pages always gives basics, i.e. type "man man"(in terminal) this is a guide for using man pages.

An app as you ask for, would be oxygen, debian-help or many others but all off them won't fullfill your needs, maybe you'll be in all of them..

cheers

Suggest : Install 'pdbv' ( PackageDataBaseView )

Will make a nice 'html' index of all your files in

/home/<username>/MyIndex/ , with the command 'pdbv -dir MyIndex'

( It's a very small perl application.)
