Apollon Problem... only connects to OpenFT network

apollon is supposed to allow one to use the openFT, fasttrack, and gnutella networks. i've installed it but it only shows the openFT network.

what might be causing this and what is the solution?

did u install the other networks ?
as u have to install fasttrack and gnutella

if u did then run gift-setup and add them or u could add them from apollon in settings -> advanced and in plugins add them

all you need to do is copy the folders of Fastrack(kazaa), gnutella, and openft from :
/usr/share/giFT to /home/your_username/.giFT

make sure you add fastrack and gnutella to the connection list by doing the folowing:

launch apollon---->settings---->configure apollon------>advanced------->add
------->and choose libfastrack.so, and libgnutella.so

and your all set, exit apollon and start it again for the changes to take effect.

that ought to do the trick for you.

i've done that, and run gift-config. after that and apt-get'ing the debian packages for the gnutella and openFS plugins, things are looking closer. running gift-config got me as far as actually showing "Gnutella" in the info screen.

however, it just hangs up at "connecting":

-----------------------------------
Gnutella:
Status: Connecting...
Users: 0
Files Shared: 0
Total Size Shared: 0 GB

OpenFT:

Status: Online
Users: 1.1 thousand
Files Shared: 282.0 thousand
Total Size Shared: 1.8 thousand GB
---------------------------------------------

i had it configured to use the fasttrack plugin, but i don't think i have it, so maybe that's why it gave me this:

"Connection error
The giFT daemon, which is responsible for connecting to the various networks, appears to be down and I don't seem to able to start it.
Probably your giFT installation is corrupted. Try starting giFT manually by typing "giftd" on the command line. If this gives errors, there's likely some internal error in giFT or in your giFT configuration. Refer to the giFT homepage at http://giftproject.org for help."

disabling the fasttrack plugin "solved" that problem. there apparently is no fasttrack plugin debian package (as there is for openFT and gnutella) which i was able to find, and i wasn't able to successfully compile it from source, so i don't actually have the fasttrack plugin.

so the point where i am right now is that i want to get the fasttrack plugin installed and working, but most of all i just want to get the gnutella one connected as it should.

help!
