apache2ctl restart doesn't work

Hey everybody out there!

First: search didn't work so I did it with google, I hope nobody posted this problem before.

This is on a Debian VServer:
After adding some open_basedir paths apache2ctl doesn't work anymore.
apache2ctl status says:
Code:

                                  Not Found

The requested URL /server-status was not found on this server.

    Apache/2.0.52 (Debian GNU/Linux) DAV/2 SVN/1.1.4 mod_jk2/2.0.4
    PHP/4.3.4 mod_ssl/2.0.52 OpenSSL/0.9.7e mod_perl/1.999.21
Perl/v5.8.4 Server at localhost Port 80

All other apache2ctl commends do simply nothing and I get the command only back hitting Ctrl + C. So I have no possibility to restart apache for example :-(. The error log has no information about that at /var/log/apache2 .

So what to do? Why don't I find error logs?

No, sorry, there is only /usr/sbin/apache2ctl at my debian system.
