Apache2 mod_ssl and tomcat via mod_jk

Hi I am trying to get apache2 with mod_ssl to work with tomcat via mod_jk, any body knows any good step by step guide to achieve this, I have a tomcat apache instance working on port 80

Note I don't want apache and tomcat talking to each other but to have ssl for end users who are connecting to Apache

Tanks and regards

You can have Tomcat with SSL running on port 443. It does not require Apache.

Is Apache mandatory for your application? If so, you may want to go with,

Yes, you can installed Self Signed SSL. Or if you want to go with any 3rd party, you can contact Godaddy, Verisign etc..

Hi thanks for the help, all I had to do was to secure the apache it self and the worker would take care of the connect part and one more thing your application should be aware of the https request.

Best Regards
