Apache1 vs. Apache2 2008

It seems this hasn't been addressed for a while. Anyone want to weigh in on why one might be better (for whatever application/environment) than the other?

If you need to decide between 1.3, 2.0, and 2.2, I would recommend first looking at the New Features (and perhaps glance at the ChangeLogs) for each version here: http://httpd.apache.org/

e.g., if you require a specific feature or prefer a certain behavior you might let that dictate the decision for you.

I really don't have a strong argument for why one of the three versions is better than the others. Unless your needs dictate otherwise, though, it'd be prudent (IMO) to go with the latest stable version.
