Apache Virtual Hosts

Hello! I have configured several Virtual Hosts for apache httpd.conf. My main question is, that i have configured for NameVirtualHost a wildcard (*) because i have a dynamic IP Adress. Because the precedence of apache, al domains I try to get, always show the 1rst configured on VirtualHost. Any ideias to solve this question? Thank you very much for your time!

Hi

If I understand U correctly the first configured virualdomain always shows, no matter what (local)domain U type in UR browser??
And U only have 1 public IP at your disposal??

Only solution (to my knowledge) are the use of port asignments. That is done by specifying what port the domain should listen on like this :
# Virtual host
<VirtualHost <YOUR-IPADDR>:<THEPORT>>
DocumentRoot..... and all the trivial stuff.

normaly <THEPORT> would be a * sign.

Over'n'out

Hi

Sorry didnt see the word "dynamic" :o

Just wondering : your DNS points to what? If you have a dynamic IP it's a bit hard to make public DNS work..?

I'm running a dynamic update software. when the IP changes, the DNS hosting company changes the IP!
