Apache custom 404 documents

My apache server is up (on Mandrake 9)

i would like to create custom 404 error pages.
It works, but not completly and i cant find what im doing wrong.

I added the folowing in my httpd.conf file:

<Directory /var/www/html/errors>
AllowOverride none
Options MultiViews IncludesNoExec FollowSymLinks
AddType text/html .shtml image/jpg .jpg
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml images .jpg

ErrorDocument 404 /errors/404.html

when i try try to reach a non existing page on my server with my web browser, the page shows up, but the images wont load

you have any idea what im doing wrong ?

btw the links to the images are good, they are in the same directory as my 404.html file

I haven't fiddled with apache in ages,
but could it be that the
AddType clause can only hold one type
per line? Try making that two statements.
