Smile apache continuum does not run on linux

Hi, my friends

I am having difficulty starting apache continuum on linux. I downloaded
and untared the continuum package, then I entered the folder:
continuum-1.1/bin/linux-x86-32 and ran ". ./run.sh".

Instead of seeing continuum running, I got the console message below.

It seems my jvm is started and terminated everytime before any java code
calls on it. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any help would
be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and cheers a lot
Joe
