Aol

I have aol at the moment (shoot me now!) I can get 9.0 to install but it cannot connect what can be done to fix that. I get a message that aol can't connect and wants to install some files it gives no name of them just that it needs them. I let it use the cd to do it but no change.

A) are you using wine or something to install AOL? (do they even have a version for linux)

B) I have heard stuff on pengAOL, never used it but should do what you want http://www.peng.apinc.org/eng/

OK well i just downloaded peng1.05.tar.gz, extracted it, and ran ./recompile which was fine (started to go through some stuff which i then canceled). If you are getting an error like no command found when you run ./recompile that either means you downloaded something else, are not in the correct directory to run that script, (or maybe somethign else bizzare)

verify that when you run ./recompile you are in the correct directory (the one that contains the file recompile)

other than that, i dunno what to tell you
