Honestly, it's the lack of anything close to it in Linux that keeps me using Windows at all.

My plan is eventually to buy the application in its latest incarnation, Phase One Media Pro, but I don't want to have to run it in Windows, either.

A friend gave me an .msi of the app which was a version one or two "dots" newer than the one I was running (until a few weeks ago) in Windows XP Pro, but it must have been re-assembled from some kind of archive segments or something, because it wouldn't install in my Wine for Ubuntu 11.04. Unless there's something askew with Wine and MSI files I don't know about.

So if anyone has taken a shot at installing and running this app in WINE, or programs just like it, I'd like to hear from them.
