Any X-windows gurus help me please??

I've just installed RedHat 7.0 and am trying to get my Xwindows system working. I have upgraded it to 4.1.0 and it all went ok. I then compiled and installed the Nvidia drivers (I've got a Geforce 2MX) and this again went ok. I can boot into xwindows at 800*600, but not at 1024*768 which is my preferred resolution. I know that my monitor can do it, as it is off an old machine that I used to run RH6.0 on quite happily at 1024*768. I have entered all the correct settings shown in my monitor manual for the refresh rates but it still won't work. My manual also has some settings for pre defined settings on the monitor, and I have entered these settings in the startup config file for the 1024*768 resolution, but I just get the 'No valid screens found' message.

Can anyone help PLEASE??

p.s monitor is a daweoo431X if you need to know that

I can perform a fresh install of Mandrake and it wil run fine at 1024*768, and I can post the config file from this if anyone needs it.

My current config file is below

Have you tried running Xconfigurator and selecting that resolution? That worked for me.
