I haven't been able to find anything that suggests there is a way to read those annoying microsoft .mht files in Fedora Core 2. Anyone have any suggestions?

Rename .mht to .eml and open with mozilla
Give this a try:
Open it with mozilla by right clicking on it and choosing "open with other application" option (I'm assuming you are using Nautilus as the file browser here).
If that doesn work then rename the .mht file to .eml and open it with mozilla either by double clicking or by using the "open with other application" method.
Let me know if that worked. I've not fooled with .mht files before.
I must admit viewing .mht files was always a problem for me since switching to firefox 2-3 years ago. I just loaded IE6 if I wanted to read the .mht on those rare occasions. However under linux that is a problem. I wish firefox would have their own one (as single clean file). I heard of that plugin - tried it a year ago but it didn't read the .mht files for me properly. I was using several .mht files from wiki pages.
Actually I remember now, they were wiki pages on country info like Germany, Ireland and France etc. The pages wouldn't open until I edited out some html lines in the file and then they would open. Needless to say I didnt want to do this each time I saved a .mht file.
Maybe the .mht plugin is more mature now. Worth giving it a shot.
